Sauerkraut Soup

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! If you’re looking for a great recipe to bring with for your family meals, or if you are looking for something healthy just for yourself in this chilly weather, check out this great Sauerkraut Soup!


16 oz. lean ground pork

2 minced garlic cloves

1/2 cup diced green onion

4 cups chicken stock

4 cups sauerkraut (including liquid)

2 cups peeled and diced kohlrabi

2 tsp smoke paprika

1/2 tsp red pepper Salt and pepper to taste


1. In a large soup pot on low heat, sauté the ground pork until well done.

2. Remove beef from pot and drain excess fat. Return to pot.

3. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer on low for a minimum of 2 hours.
