What is it?
A carbon laser peel is a superficial treatment that helps with acne, enlarged pores, oily skin, and uneven skin tone. They're sometimes called carbon laser facials. Despite the name, a carbon laser peel isn't a traditional chemical peel. Instead, the laser technician uses a carbon solution and lasers to create a peeling effect.
It is also an excellent way to exfoliate and refresh your skin, providing an instant refreshed appearance and leaving skin feeling softer, smoother and firmer.
Is carbon peel better than chemical peel?
While both the carbon laser peel and chemical peel can give similar results, the main difference lies in how these results are achieved. The carbon laser peel tends to rejuvenate skin via the heat generated from the laser treatment, whereas the chemical peel tends to achieve similar results via a chemical reaction.
Laser treatments are superior to chemical peels in how controllable and precise it is. It's easier to just target an acne scar or a few spots on the skin with a laser. The laser is also better for deep collagen remodeling. If you are trying to address wrinkles or sagging skin, lasers will be a better option.
