Freckle & Age Spot Removal

Freckles are small deposits of pigment that develop on the outer layer of the skin, which is the epidermis. Some people are born with freckles. However, freckles can also develop as the result of sun exposure.

What Is Laser Freckle Removal?
Laser freckle removal targets the melanin in your skin. It absorbs the pigmentation inside of the freckles. It breaks up the pigments of melanin. The freckles will be removed when the skin naturally exfoliates itself.

What to Expect During the Procedure
The area treated will be cleansed and protective goggles will be worn to protect your eyes.

Some say the laser pulse feels like a rubber band being sprung on your skin. For a couple of hours after it can feel like a sunburn.

After the laser treatment, the technician will apply sunblock.

When Will I Be Able to See the Results?
You may notice that your freckles get darker a few hours after you get your treatment. The dark spots will rise to the surface of your skin a few days after you get your treatment. The spots will naturally fall off along with your dead skin cells. They will also lighten.

How Many Treatments Will I Need to Get?

The frequency of treatments for skin lesions and sun/age spots is between 4-6 weeks apart to allow the skin to regenerate. The required number of treatments varies with each individual depending on the location of the sites on the body, but most will take 3 treatments.

How Long Will the Results Last?
You will have to take good care of your skin after you get this procedure.

If you get laser freckle treatment, then the freckles can come back when you are exposed to the sun.
